UNESCO Participation Programme 2026-27

The UNESCO Participation Programme (PP) is a biennial initiative offering financial and technical support for national, sub-regional, or regional projects in education, science, culture, and communication. The proposed projects must be in line with the global priorities as highlighted in UNESCO’s Programme for 2026-2027.

The program is designed to strengthen the partnership between UNESCO and its member States especially developing nations.

Who can apply:

Member States and International NGOs (Organizations that are in official partnership with UNESCO)

Requests from Pakistan will be submitted through the Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO.

 

Guidelines and Benchmarks for Project Formulation

Projects must relate directly to UNESCO’s fields of competence: Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Culture, or Communication and Information.

Financial Ceilings:

National Project: Maximum US$ 26,000.

Subregional/Interregional Project: Maximum US$ 28,000 (requires at least 2 support letters).

Regional Project: Maximum US$ 38,000 (requires at least 3 support letters).

Note: Last date for submission of requests/ project proposals to PNCU is 15 February 2026.
