The Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO (PNCU) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the UNESCO Carlos J. Finlay Prize for Microbiology 2025 (funded by the Government of Cuba).

This prestigious Prize honors individuals, institutions, or non-governmental organizations that have made outstanding contributions in the field of microbiology (including immunology, molecular biology, genetics, and related applications).

 Key Information & Criteria

• Eligibility & Nominators
  Eligible nominees must have produced significant and original contributions to microbiology or its applications.
  Nominations must come from Member States (through their National Commissions for UNESCO). Self-nominations are not allowed.

• Submission Language & Documentation
  Nominations may be prepared in English or French and must include all required supporting documentation (CV, publications, justification of contribution, etc.).

• Deadline & Process
  The official UNESCO deadline is 30 November 2025. To allow time for national review, complete nomination dossiers must reach PNCU by 10 November 2025 via the platform: http://bit.ly/4mqB2ak
