Call for Nominations: 2025 UNESCO Prize for Global Citizenship Education
The Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to share the call for nominations for the first edition of the UNESCO Prize for Global Citizenship Education, supported by the Republic of Korea. This prestigious Prize aims to recognize and reward outstanding initiatives that promote Global Citizenship Education (GCED). The Prize will be awarded to two laureates—one from each of the following categories: Youth-led organizations, and Individuals, institutions, or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) Award: Each laureate will receive a monetary prize of USD 50,000 in recognition of their achievements in fostering global citizenship, peace, and sustainable development. Deadline to apply to PNCU: 18 August 2025 Final submission to UNESCO: 1 September 2025 (UTC+1, Paris time) Submission method: Online via UNESCO GCED Prize Platform Who can nominate: National Commissions for UNESCO and NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO Note: Self-nominations will not be accepted Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit their complete nomination dossiers to the Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO for review and endorsement. A national selection process will be conducted to finalize up to three nominations from Pakistan.
